Let’s kick off the new year with thanks and gratitude:
1) Thanks to those of you who took the time to fill out the survey for my life and career coaching business put forward by Ryerson Capstone Marketing Course – thanks to the course group, and your thoughtful input, I created and adapted new materials including a postcard mailing with writing help from Leslie Smith and graphic design by member Andrea Levine, and also created an introductory coaching video:

Looking for a good speaker for your next event? Our own CC Member Suzen Fromstein knows a thing or two about speaking and humour.  As well, she has continually been a wonderful connector of others since joining Connection Corner, so thank you Suzen for graciously helping others. Here are the details of her entertaining presentation:

Simply Recognize The Seven Deadly Sins of Public Speaking
And Then Avoid Them

This talk summarizes Fromstein’s experience as an executive speechwriter, college professor, competitive Toastmaster and a business workshop facilitator.  This easy-to-follow, practical guide is designed to help you:
• Engage upper management long enough for them to warm to the merits of your process innovation or cost saving idea.
*  Avoid suffocating the audience’s interest with inane, lackluster loquaciousness.

•       Have the last word in an argument about who comes first in your office relationships (don’t try this at home).

Fromstein co-authored this section of the book with stand-up comic Michael Nemiroff.

WANT TO INFORM INFLUENCE AND ENTERTAIN LIKE A PRO? is Suzen Fromstein’s second book.  Suzen made her debut as a published author with SUITS AND LADDERS: Ten Proven Ways to Keep Your Job Safe (with a few jokes thrown in). This Amazon (Career and Career Guides) Best Selling Book consolidates the combined wisdom of 102 real people with real jobs.  Following their advice gives employees (regardless of industry or sector) a better chance of survival, or at least, gives them a fighting chance at survival.
Both books are available on all e-platforms.  There is also a print on demand option for anyone who wants to have and to hold a hard copy.

That's it, That's all. Make 2014 your year to work at those desires you hold near and dear, and I will be contacting all members to ask their membership level for this year, and also asking you:'What is your goal and how can Connection Corner help?'
