#spreadthekindness welcomes Canadian companies to join schools to commit to 3 acts during Random Acts of Kindness Week

TORONTO, ON, January 26, 2015 "Beginning February the 9th and running to February 15th, Random Acts of Kindness Week helps to spread today’s relevant and timely message to schools dealing with nasty behaviour on-line and in the schoolyards, and, now, corporations are jumping on the goodwill bandwagon.

Life Coach and Kindness Advocate, Steffi Black, has written a comprehensive corporate kindness plan. Companies joining the movement to do kind deeds this international week promoting Random Acts of Kindness include boutique law firm, GCY(www.gcylaw.com). leadership coaching and mentoring experts, The Executive Roundtable (www.theexecutiveroundtable.ca). Also joining in, is the well-regarded fitness institution, Judy’s Group Fitness (www.judysgroupfitness.ca), which is having Life Coach Black come in to share ideas with members on how to participate in #RAKweek. Other participants include: Ara Wiseman, Holistic Nutrition and Healing; DS1 Design, AR Communications and Mona Networks.Even the west and east coast is getting on board - from Authentic Leadership Global (leadauthentic.com) to Julia Rivard Dexter, Partner in Norex Web (sitebynorex.com) who is leading the initiative for her company.

RAKweek emphasizes doing 3 kind acts, as studies show that this can make a pro-active difference, and the actions create better morale in a workplace. According to author and scientist David R. Hamilton, “When we're kind, we inspire others to be kind, and it actually creates a ripple effect that spreads outwards to our friends' friends' friends -- to three degrees of separation. Just as a pebble creates waves when it is dropped in a pond, so acts of kindness ripple outwards, touching others' lives and inspiring kindness everywhere the wave goes.” The innovative, interactive website forum www.randomactsofkindness.org www.randomactsofkindness.org serves as the guide for Random Acts of Kindness week and features ideas for companies: http://www.randomactsofkindness.org/kindness-stories/507-gift-cards. According to Black, “It’s a fact, studies show that acts of kindness result in significant mental and physical benefits including, what is called a “Helper’s High”and, as Black adds, “it’s a great way to boost morale and increase emotional warmth between co-workers.”
