Connection Corner News Update March 2014

Hello There Everyone! A new date for our annual June event will be announced in the next newsletter. I look forward to touching base with any of you who want to share what's going on with your business or career transitions.

A shout out to the supportive and helpful members of CC:

The power of connecting others was in major evidence this month as I reached out to members about the warm and talented Dorothea Kanga who now is looking to move from running her own show to working on client side. You couldn’t have been more helpful about connecting her and that is a testament to YOUR commitment to paying it forward.
For those of you interested in also connecting Dorothea, who is also on our advisory board, to potential career opportunities, here is her background:
Dorothea is currently a Senior HR Consultant and President of Creative Force Network Limited.(
For over 15 years, Dorothea has worked with clients primarily in the Communications sector to support their human resources needs. This has involved providing organizational input as well as recruiting staff such as marketing/communications managers, art directors, copywriters, production managers, web designers and proofreaders.
Dorothea is now interested in pursuing other career avenues. She would like to secure a client-side position where she is able to utilize her HR skills and senior management experience. Dorothea is looking in the areas of HR, Recruitment, and Talent Acquisition.
She is currently in the process of exploring how to best utilize her skills in a client-side environment. She would appreciate the chance to meet with you or your colleagues to receive your valuable insights on the HR area. This would help determine the next steps in her career.

 Let’s welcome Jelena Bell who is the new Manager, Marketing and Business Development for The Executive Roundtable. She will manage onboarding, marketing campaigns as well as outreach for business development.

Jelena has an interesting background: She had a career as a fire sprinkler designer and she has managed all the engineering and design for various fire sprinkler systems, working in both the U.S. and Canada.
